History
APKIM RESOURCES was founded by Almarhum Ustaz Abu Bakar Hashim, a renowned Singaporean Community activist who had retired from the position of the President of the Syariah Court. His other portfolios include being the Deputy Mufti, Registrar of Muslim Marriages, being in various advisory boards with MSF, President of the Association of Religious Teachers of Singapore (Pergas) as well as serving as a board member of the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (Muis) and its Fatwa Commitee.
Having been well exposed to the Muslim community’s issues, APKIM was set up to help address the issues directly by providing Marriage Guidance Courses that aims to ensure young couples better prepare themselves of the important roles they would be playing.

APKIM Resources (Reg No 49699000L) was first established in 1993. With the demise of the founder, his successor, Ustaz SallimJasman, is now the Advisor and Consultant of APKIM Resources. Ustaz Sallim retired from the position of the Senior President of Syariah Court and is very involved in the Singapore Muslim Community. Under his leadership, APKIM has expanded its role to provide services for married couples and families under its registered society, APKIM Center for Social Service (ACOSS). Among ACOSS’ services is a program with the Singapore Syariah Court in handling counseling cases for marital issues, Mandatory Counseling Program with MSF for Family Court cases and Adoption services, accredited by MSF to provide Home Study Report. APKIM has also conducted numerous parenting and youth programs and has worked with the Family For Life Council, Ministry of Social and Family Services (MSF), Yayasan Mendaki, Mosque Clusters, various schools and Health Promotion Board (HPB) to bring the programs to the community.
